Training schedule:

• 10am – 11am- Introduction and theory re-cap ( Q&A session over the video lessons)
• 11am - 12:30pm - Practice on a sponge
• 12:30pm- 2pm - Practice on a dummy head
• 2pm- 2:30pm- Lunch Break
• 2:30pm- 6pm- Practice on live model
• 6pm- 6:30pm- Final Q&A and taking photos of models

In order to receive your certificate you'll need to  send us  3 successful case studies on live models  (if your trainer feels that you would benefit from additional case studies they will ask you to do more) . Case study consists of photos of extensions done on live models- requrements for the photos will be explained in more detail on the training day.

You submit each case study one at a time. Please, do not start on next case study before receiving your trainer's feedback for the previous one. The aim of the case studies is to work on mistakes and improve skills.

First case study must be sent not later than 1 month after training date. You will have 6 months altogether to finish all of your case studies ( in most cases not more than 3).

Once you have passed your case studies, you will be invited back for an exam. After successful completion of all case studies AND the exam, you will be awarded with an accredited certificate.

We do not want to torment you by "inventing" the case studies and exams but we want to make sure you you will be performing the treatment to a high standard and with the confidence of a real professional. :)

The exam has got two parts- theory and practical. You'll need to bring your own model and tweezers with you (we will provide you with tweezers if needed but we find that technicians get used to their own teezers and working with something familiar boosts the confidence).

 

Theory test is carried before the practical part. You will have 30 minutes to answer 25 questions- combination of multiple choice and opened questions. All of the questions are covered in you theory video lessons and the manual so please don't forget to study the theory thoroughly ! 5 wrong answers will mean that you will have to sit the theory exam again on a different day.

 

The practical part of the course is to simply apply on your model as many lashes as you possibly could for the set time of 1h 30min. At the end your trainer will review your work . Please,  remember that quality is far more important than quantity and though you should be aiming for at least 50% coverage still the quality of your work will be decisive.  Using too much glue, having no uniformity of extensions at all or having more than 10 stickies will reasult in fail and you will be asked to come back again on a different day.

 

If, for whatever reason, you are struggling to complete the eyelash treatment, or you fail to pass the theory test, feel free to practice at home for as long as you need and come back to us at any time to demonstrate your knowledge and skill and get your certificate. You will have the support of your trainer during this time if you need advice.

The student is responsible for the presence of a model . Your model will be needed from 2:30pm onwards .

What to look for in a model?

Easy for beginner natural lashes:

• Straight (not visibly criss-crossing)
• Medium length
• Average number of natural lashes
• Not too light in colour
• Not too fine
• At least four months after a lash lift treatment
• Ability to stay still and lay down for at least three hours

Not being sensitive to light

Being a friend or a relative would take some of the pressure you put on yourself :)

What if I travel from far or can't find a model?

If it is not possible to provide one, the academy could try help out but please be aware that we can do so only for an additional fee of £55 (the whole amount will be paid to the model directly as they will be paid for their time ). Please , request finding a model no later than 7 days before the day of the course.

What if I am late to request a model or my own model cancels last minute?

In the absence of a model (for whatever reason), the practical part is conducted again on a dummy head.

 

To secure a seat at any of our courses you will have to have paid either the relevant deposit or the full amount. The outstanding balance to the full price of the course should be paid not later than 7 days of the training date. Please , note: there is a 7-days cancellation policy for any of our courses.

We have a 7 days cancellation policy at place meaning you can still cancel or reschedule the date of your training without any cancellation fees being applied if at  least 7 days notice has been given (prior to the course date). In such case we will be rufunding any payments made to us within 5 working days.  If you cancel your session with less than 7 days notice we will then unfortunately be unable to refund you the deposit.

Parking:

Unfortunately we do not have dedicated parking spaces. Parking on main road is allowed only for 1h and absolutely prohibited between 4:30pm and 6:30pm. Easiest way would be to park on one of the parallel streets. Further directions will be sent upon booking your course. 

Public Transport:

There are bus stops within 1 min walk (120 yds) where the following busses stop: 10, 20, 22, 52, 67, 100.

Eccles tram stop is only 10 minutes walk (0.5 miles).

Eccles train station is 13 min walk away (0.6 miles)
